Tasché (19) has been stealing hearts since the blind audition rounds of the third season of The Voice SA. With her world-class voice and captivating performances, she became the first female winner of this reality TV series just after her 19th birthday, also making her the youngest winner of The Voice SA.
Since the finale, this young woman with her husky voice, has performed at big music events (Liefde By Die Dam, Francois van Coke & Vriende and Rocking Stellies) and has released a successful debut single called Die een under the supervision of her mentor, Francois van Coke, who is also a co-producer.
This single, with Hunter Kennedy (Die Heuwels Fantasties en Fokofpolisiekar) en Richard Onraet (Die Gevaar) as co-writers, quickly climbed the charts and the music video has been watched by thousands.
The newcomer is back in the limelight with her very first EP, TASCHÉ, and it promises to give listeners goosebumps all over. There are two original songs and four soulful covers of existing hits such as Lisa se klavier, Ek skyn(heilig), Vier seisoene kind (featuring Francois van Coke) and Bittermaan (featuring Danie du Toit from Spoegwolf).
The EP was recorded at Van Coke Studios in Cape Town and it features her second original song, Tweedehandse hart which will blow fans away. “It was incredible to stand behind the microphone again and to sing how I wanted to sing, to do my own thing and to play around with what we were planning to do with the EP,” Tasché says.
