MTN Bushfire the is acclaimed music and arts festival known and loved for its Afro-centric ethos and its strong focus on African music, culture and the arts, and listed by BBC as a “Top African festival,” MTN Bushfire has recently confirmed an eclectic mix of artists from Europe and Africa is proud to announce some of South Africa’s top acts for the 2019 line-up.
Taking place from May 24th – 26th, just a few hours drive from Johannesburg in the beautiful Malkerns Vally of Eswatini, MTN Bushfire recently announced festival headliners from West Africa, Asa and Mr. Eazi, Kenya’s Blinky Bill as well a range of exciting other artists who have already been announced. 
The latest acts to be confirmed include South Africa’s Grassy Spark, Black Motion, TrompiesTshepo Tshola and the Jagermeister Brass Cartel.
Other South African artists already announced include the immensely talented Nibs Van der Spuy and innovative acoustic guitarist, punk-inspired indie rock duo The MakeoversThabang Tabane, heir to the father and founder of the Malombo music Dr. Philip Tabane, as well as DJ Invizible – the self described master of staging creative guerrilla performances.
South Africa’s Dope Saint Jude, a rapper and producer with a defiant, life-affirming queer perspective, has also been announced along with the Nigerian-South African collaboration of Eme and Moonchild from Nigeria and South Africa respectively.
Golden Lounge tickets for MTN Bushfire 2019 are now sold out, but Main Arena tickets for this year’s festival are STILL AVAILABLE through the MTN Bushfire website,  Golden Lounge tickets will no longer be available online or at physical outlets. Day tickets for Sunday May 26th will be on sale shortly.
Guests are reminded however not to purchase tickets from 3rd parties as these tickets cannot be guaranteed as authentic.

The 2019 line-up includes a range of cutting edge artists who are pushing the limits of performance. Ain the Machine is an audio-visual storyteller with a clear goal: to transform the way we interact with music. It is music without instruments, a concept he calls, Musica Biotronica.
Switzerland’s Puts Marie as an indie band has been described as a mix between a great rock’n’roll circus and theater with strange poetry, while Colombia’s Alibombo, besides being a percussion group, is an experimentation laboratory.
The line-up also includes, Lizzy, a German artist who merges hypnotic drumming with wearable 3D printing, along with Aramboa, Austria’s Downbeat, Triphop, IDM, Neo-Soul, Bass Music, Dubstep and Jazz Electronic Soul combo.
These artists will join a host of other acts across the various MTN Bushfire stages. Alreadyt announced are Buddy Masango, (e’Swatini), Bashayi Bengoma (e’Swatini), Morena Leraba (Lesotho), SWAMA lifetime achievement winner Smiles Mandla MakamaMahube, a collaboration of some of Southern Africa’s top musicians, Sereetsi & the Natives  from Botswana, GranMah, the Dub / Reggae Fusion band from Mozambique, Dobet Gnahoré from Côte d’Ivoire, and Maia and the Big Sky from Kenya.
