This month will see Joburg Ballet in live performances at the company’s studios at the Joburg Theatre when the company presents JOBURG BALLET RAW: A Showcase for New Choreography on 20 and 21 March.

As part of Joburg Ballet’s nurturing of choreographic talent, four new ballets created by dancers in the company will showcase the work of Armando Barros (Omega 3), Ruan Galdino (We Pray), Tumelo Lekana (Legae) and Thabang Mabaso (Le Roux Variations).

Joburg Ballet has invited established choreographers – Oscar Buthelezi, Dada Masilo and Lulu Mlangeni – to engage with the audience and the four aspiring choreographers to explore the creative process.
