Frances Clare is an enigmatic Cape Town based act who have toured internationally and shared stages with Mango Groove, Matthew Mole, Wheatus, Zolani from Freshlyground and more.
They have just released their new single, Go.
Go is about enjoying the journey and is a positive song about growth, determination and leaving the haters behind.
“Go was one of those songs that took less than an hour to write.” Says songwriter, Frances, on the inspiration behind the single. “I was in a very creative mode, we had recently returned from a successful December tour with some of our favourite local artists, and I remember being very inspired and writing a lot of songs. When I played them for the band, Go was the one that stood out.”
The female fronted band have performed across South Africa at venues including the V&A Waterfront, Expresso Morning Show, Hectic Nine 9 and enjoy radio play on local and international stations.
The band is firmly focused on promoting females in the music industry through work with International NPO The Lalela Project to raise money for sustainable sanitary pads. Vocalist, Frances Litten, was selected to perform ‘Osiyeza’ with Craig Lucas on Women’s Day to commemorate the late Johnny Clegg at the Grand West Arena.
After a busy 2019 with performances in South Africa, France, The Netherlands, Belgium and a show in Berlin, Germany featuring Beatenberg- Frances Clare are headed to the United Kingdom for their debut tour.
