Albert Adams – An Invincible Spirit
Until 25 May 2019

WAM is celebrating the 90th anniversary of the birth of Johannesburg-born artist Albert Adams. Although he left South Africa in 1960, he visited frequently. He consistently returned to the depiction of themes related to his country of birth. With a visceral expressionism, his work displays a deep social commitment and searing commentary.
