The 2022 annual Grammy Awards nominations were announced on Tuesday.

South African DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, has been nominated in the category for Best Dance/Electronic Album for his album Subconsciously, which was released earlier this year.
He is nominated alongside Illenium, Major Lazer, Marshmello, Sylvan Esso and Ten City.

Globe-trotting South African flautist and composer Wouter Kellerman has been nominated for a GRAMMY® Award in the category for “Best New Age Album” for “Pangaea”, a collaboration with American composer and music producer David Arkenstone.

Other nominees in this category are Will Ackerman, Jeff Oster and Tom Eaton, Stewart Copeland and Ricky Kej, Opium Moon and Laura Sullivan.

The winners will be announced during the live ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on 31 January 2022.
